Police appeal for information after incident in Kingsbridge

Kingsbridge Police are appealing for witnesses following "an incident of disorder" near the Quay.

Devon and Cornwall Police 

Two people are in custody following reports of fighting around the Bridge Street, Mill Street and Ilbert Road area of Kingsbridge at 5pm today. 

Police are appealing for "anybody  [who] witnessed anything" to get in touch quoting Log 634 171020.

Woman's search for her birth mum leads her to Totnes

A woman's search for her birth mum has lead her to Totnes, and she says she wants to know where she comes from.  Betsy Cullis is searching for her birth mum Betsy Cullis, 21, lives in Portishead, Bristol, and has been searching for her birth mum on and off for about four years. About a year ago, she went to the hospital she was born at and gained access to her birth certificate, which gave her mother's name as Jane Grant, living at Flat 3, 58 High Street, Totnes.  Betsy said: "Its just about knowing who my family are and finally putting a face to a name. I want to know where I come from. I also have some mental health issues and I'd like to know if it runs in my family. I have so many questions and no answers. I feel like I'm on an investigation." Man falls from scaffolding

A man has fallen from scaffolding in Salcombe. Devon Air Ambulance  The man, in his 40s, fell around 12 metres from scaffolding on Island Street, Salcombe, at around 1pm today, Tuesday, 10 November.  A police spokesperson said: "Police received a report at around 1pm this afternoon that a man had fallen around 40-feet from scaffolding on Island Street, Salcombe. "A man in his 40s was taken to Derriford Hospital with a suspected head injury.  "The HSE has been notified.  "Police do not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances."  Our thoughts are with him, his friends and family.
