Man falls from scaffolding

A man has fallen from scaffolding in Salcombe.

The man, in his 40s, fell around 12 metres from scaffolding on Island Street, Salcombe, at around 1pm today, Tuesday, 10 November. 

A police spokesperson said: "Police received a report at around 1pm this afternoon that a man had fallen around 40-feet from scaffolding on Island Street, Salcombe.

"A man in his 40s was taken to Derriford Hospital with a suspected head injury.

 "The HSE has been notified.

 "Police do not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances."
