Police appeal for witnesses after cyclist seriously injured

Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was found lying in the road with serious injuries in Yealmpton. 

Devon and Cornwall Police 


The 61-year-old local man was found lying unconscious next to his electric bike on an unclassified road by Wonnell Barn around 5.45pm on Saturday, 15 August.

A spokesperson for Kingsbridge Police said: "He sustained serious head injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

"We are investigating the circumstances of the incident and ask any witnesses to contact us via 101@dc.police.uk or by telephone on 101, quoting log number 821 of 15 August."
